Et pour ceux qui hurlent sur les pimpins qui gagnent la loterie, en 2005 le plus rapide des Lottery Winners avait mis 9h44'32 .

Brief Description:
Beginning in 2012 the Ironman Lottery will select 100 general Age Group athletes, 100 Legacy athletes plus five Physically Challenged athletes, to compete in the 2012 Ironman World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawai’i. Winners will be announced on April 15, 2012 at 12 p.m. ET on Ironman.com. One entry per athlete, duplicate entries will not be valid.

Legacy Program Requirements:
1. Athlete must have completed a minimum of twelve (12) full distance Ironman-branded* races (includes existing and past events) by December 31, 2011
2. Athlete has never participated in the Ironman World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawai’i

3. Athlete must have completed at least one Ironman event in 2010 and 2011

4. Athlete must be registered for an Ironman event in 2012

*2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike, 26.2-mile run.

General Lottery Information:
Beginning in 2012, athletes will also have an increased chance of being selected for the Ironman Lottery based on the number of years that they have entered. For each year an athlete has registered since 2001, his chances increase accordingly. For example, if an athlete has registered for every Ironman Lottery from 2001 through 2012, he will have increased his or her chance of racing in the 2012 Ironman World Championship by 12.
Physically Challenged Requirements:
Lower Extremity - This includes single below-the-knee amputees, in which a standard bicycle is used, and run with prosthesis or crutches.
Wheelchair One - This division consists of single above-the-knee amputees who ride a standard bicycle, but use a racing chair on the run.

Wheelchair Two - This division consists of athletes who have double below-the-knee or a double above-the-knee amputation. These athletes ride a standard bicycle and use a racing chair on the run.

Continued:
Upper Extremity - This is an athlete who has one arm amputated above or below the elbow, in which they will use prosthesis on the bike.

Visually Impaired - This is for athletes who are legally blind, 20/200 with best-corrected vision, requiring a guide throughout the race. If a guide is needed, they may use a tandem bike and may be tethered during the swim and the run.

Refunds, transfers or deferrals are not permitted. Withdrawal requests must be received by February 28, 2012, via e-mail to Lottery@ironman.com.

Du coup, ça se transforme automatiquement en "les athlètes postulants doivent avoir 13 Ironmen labellisés au compteur", si en plus ils demandent à ce que les gens soient inscrits sur un IM pour 2012
Et ça devient même 14 IM pour ceux qui se disent : "merde, j'ai mes 12 IM mais rien ces deux dernières années, alors je vais devoir vite en faire un en 2012 pour me porter candidat sur Hawaii 2013 en sachant que cette même année je devrai encore être inscrit sur un IM du circuit"

Je trouve leur politique mercantile à gerber Too bad pour Brice, toi, etc..... En fait, c'est une VIP-lottery-card pour les fidèles parmi les fidèles Et une course en catégorie élite.......élite financière

Il reste 100 places pour Bryce.

Il y avait : 150 places pour les Américains dont 50 pour les Hawaiiens + effectivement 50 pour les non-Américains) mais je crois qu'il y avait encore une autre subtilité dans les 150.

Il y avait : 150 places pour les Américains dont 50 pour les Hawaiiens + effectivement 50 pour les non-Américains) mais je crois qu'il y avait encore une autre subtilité dans les 150.

Je ne vois pas dans les 15O.
De toutes façons pour nous Européens ça ne change pas grand chose, on avait peu de chances, on aura peu de chances.

à mon avis tu joues pour rien :
est-il déjà arrivé que quelqu'un gagne 2 fois?
comme je crois moyennement à l'éthique de leur loterie ( vraiment un tirage au sort ?) , n'est-elle pas orientée pour que ça n'arrive pas ?
d'ailleurs c'est une des nouvelles conditions pour les 100 places :ne l'avoir jamais fait !

En 2005 j'ai parlé avec un gars qui venait de gagner 2 ans de suite.
Tu parles des 100 places qui font débat.
Pas de telle restriction pour les 100 places restantes.
Je vous enverrai des photos quand j'y retournerai.
