Gerardus is having a super run, closing down the gap on crowd favourite Tissink to only a minute now. Our third placed man, Stefan Riesen was 6min10sec behind Schellens at the 28km mark, but has not yet crossed the 32km mark.

Our 5th placed Herve Faure from France, #20 has just dropped out of the race. A disapointed Faure said that he simply could not go on. "I didn't have enough strength in my legs left," Faure said.
